OAC was started to sponsor, support and develop art, education, and cultural activities, events, seminars, lectures and other activities that contribute to the vibrancy of the community. Provide for the distribution or sale of promotional materials, in all mediums, for creative expression in the Ontonagon Area.

To secure financial support for artists and the community at large for the furtherance of interactive programs, facilities and resources; raising revenue through such methods as membership fees, donations, sponsorships, merchandise sales, grants, and special events.
